²⁷ The sacrifice of the wicked is abhorrent,
    and more so when it is offered for evil motives.^[a]
28 A false witness will perish,
    but a truthful witness will never be silenced.
²⁹ A wicked man puts up a bold front,
    but an upright man amends his ways.
